A Poem by Rachel Kearney.

There is a cross in her
bathroom. Of chili pepper cans
from Mexico. Jesus
is made of abstract
eyes
diminishing legs.

I wash my hands with lemon
soap, It seethes
into porcelain.

That sink
could be demonic.
I could be
praying.

The foam is gone.

Jesus’ chili pepper can has
nutritional facts printed
into aluminum. All are cut off
except for “Protein/Proteína:
0”
